Autism Testing & Diagnosis

Comprehensive, structured autism evaluations designed to provide clarity, insight, and individualized care planning. We offer in-depth assessments for adults seeking a better understanding of their cognitive, behavioral, and social patterns. Appointments are conducted in person, with follow-up support available as needed.

Process

Clinical Intake Assessment

We begin with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to understand your developmental history, current concerns, and overall functioning across different areas of life.

Standardized Autism Assessments

You will complete evidence-based screening tools and structured assessments designed to evaluate traits commonly associated with autism spectrum conditions. We use MIDRAS-2, ACOS-2 and other tools. It is a strenght based system!

Comprehensive Diagnostic Review

You will complete evidence-based screening tools and structured assessments designed to evaluate traits commonly associated with autism spectrum conditions.

Results & Personalized Recommendations

Following the evaluation, we review findings with you in detail, provide a diagnosis if appropriate, and discuss personalized recommendations to support your daily life and long-term well-being.

Autism Evaluation Fee & Visit Costs

Autism Assessment

Testing is billed at $300 per hour, which includes testing time and report preparation- typically it is a 2-2.5 hr process in addition to the evaluation time.
(Self-pay)

Psychiatric Intake Visit

Intakes can be done in network for Aetna, Cigna, Optum, Connecticare, Oxford, United Heathcare. Out of pocket is $300.

Insurance may be applied to the initial intake and final review visit where applicable. Additional services are typically self-pay.

Support & Next Steps

Following your evaluation, we provide guidance tailored to your individual profile. Recommendations may include:

  • Support strategies for communication and social interaction

  • Sensory regulation techniques

  • Executive functioning support

  • Referrals for therapy or additional services if needed

Our approach focuses on helping you better understand your strengths while developing tools to navigate daily challenges with confidence.

  • The psychiatric evaluation is most effective in person- but can be done telehealh. In telehealth scenrios, materials will be mailed to your home.

  • The evaluation includes a clinical interview, standardized assessments, and structured observations to assess behavioral and cognitive patterns.

  • Generally 1 hr intake, 2 hrs for interview, and follow up to review reports and receive guidance on potential supports for challenges.

  • Yes. You will receive personalized recommendations and guidance based on your results to help support your daily functioning and goals. It can be increadilty impactful in communicating with loved ones how to best support you.
